Military, Education and Opportunity for the Disabled

People in the military are more educated than those who are not. Individuals who enlist in the military are required to have a high school diploma or GED. This means that 99% of people in the military are educated. On the other hand, only 60% of people have high school education.

The military is a great place for people with disabilities. Military service members are required to take a physical fitness test, which screens for physical and cognitive disabilities. People with disabilities are also able to get more involved in the military than in other careers because they can perform many different tasks on the job and work-from-home opportunities usually exist.
