Each Wreaths Across America (WAA) Day, wreaths are laid at the graves of veterans in over 2,000 cemeteries across America. The WAA mission statement is to provide a remembrance list of the sacrifices that veterans make for our country.
WAA, the organization, evolved out of one family’s efforts to honor veterans. The Worcester family has been donating memorial wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery for many years.. A photograph featuring some of those wreaths went viral circa 2005.
